I was humbled and appreciative to be highlighted in the American Retirement Association’s September newsletter that informs and educates congressional staffers on Capitol Hill. While I don’t see myself as “newsworthy,” I do value the chance to reflect on what drives my work.
For me, retirement planning is ultimately about listening, understanding, and finding strategies that make sense and propel those we serve to healthy retirement outcomes. In addition to serving individuals and their families, we also serve employers and their employees by promoting financial wellness and guidance on how to save well for retirement.
I’ve been fortunate to spend over 35 years in this industry, and even more fortunate to serve the community I call home. Outside of work, my preferred form of exercise is running. The time running not only offers health benefits, it also provides an opportunity to reflect on the many things for which I am grateful, including the opportunity to serve others both professionally and while volunteering in the community.
