Ryan Shaw - Ryan has been in the retirement and financial advisory world since he graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005, B.A. in Finance and Marketing. A Waterloo native, Ryan serves his clients by developing investment strategies for accumulators, pre-retirees, and those distributing wealth in retirement. He also provides research, portfolio construction and insurance advice for clients of FRA as needed.
Ryan enjoys helping clients find a balance between saving for the future, while living in the “now.” That often means:
- Presenting ideas and solutions to help clients make educated decisions
- Developing plans to get their financial house in order
- Discussing realistic risk and return expectations
Ryan, wife Ashley and children, live in Waterloo and are involved in the community and various roles at church. He serves on the finance committee for the Boys and Girls Club of the Cedar Valley, board member and past president for the Cedar Valley Sports Commission, and member of the Greater Cedar Valley Jaycees as volunteer and past chair of various committees. Ryan also enjoys coaching youth hockey and baseball.
